Wow, It's Been AGES

So! Nothing from me since the beginning of Decemberrr. It's been a busy month!

Christmas went fairly well, got a great many things on my wishlist. My absolute favourites being my DMs from motherdear, and Red Jeans Versace perfume from the boyfriend.
My collection of Studio Ghibli dvds is steadily growwwwiiing :D we have: 1 2 3 4 5 9 10 11 13 14 17 wooooooooooooo!

Me and the sister went to Sheffield for Christmas to stay with Grandma and visit the famalammm. It was rather quiet, but lovely to see them all :)

SO!! Today is New Year's Eve, and I have NO PARTY TO GO TO D:
So it's:
1. stay at home with my mum, sister, and boyfriend and be bored.
2. frantically call in everyone I know to get an invite to a party and feel uncomfortable the whole time.
3. try and persuade boyfriend's parents to let us have their house despite the fact they won't be in.
4. go on a long midnight walk and avoid everyone.

So yeah, I've been pretty slack with my blogaroo.

Some interesting updates:
1. College.
Going alright I spose. Couple tests I've done well on, couple I've done average on. My Human Biology practical exam was aces, got the second highest of the whole group... Not too shabbaaayyy :D
2. Animals.
Arthur is getting FAT <3
Chickens should begin to lay eggs soon, the little feathery fluffs of cuteness!! Beau is hyperactive as per usualllllll.
3. Family... Yeah okay, they're annoying. But ya gotta love 'em. Spesh when the sister whips out the old PS2 and eyes go square... :P
4. Boyfriend :D He's pretty awesome tbh, it's been just over 2 months now, and I like him more everyday :). S'all peachy there!
5. Friends. Well what can I say? I've made some new ones, reconnected with some old ones, and kept the ones most important to me :). Withot them, I'd be a sad lonely little cretin :L So yeah, I love 'em all <3

Now I'm getting annoyed...
6. CHRISTMAS. This time of year ruins my life. I never know what to get for people. I spend all my money on them regardless. I become penniless and can't go out. Then everyone buys me chocolate and I get FAT. And the useful, interesting, or pretty awesome presents I do get, get broken, used up or lost...
7. Car doors and slamming them on your thumb. On the hand you write with. This happened. It swelled twice it's normal size, the nail went black, and I couldn't bend it for about 5 days. Pain.
8. My phone. So I adore my phone. ADORE it. But not when it recieves texts an hour after they were sent, or the alarms go off at the wrong time or not at all, or doesn't load web pages!! SORT IT OUT SAMSUNG GENIO TOUCH. Stupid.
9. Eating like a fat whale. I devour. Nuff said. Fatttaayyyy.
10. College (again) I love it, but it gets in the way. All my lessons clash with my boyfriend's so we see each other for like a minute between. Some days I'm in at the crack of dawn, some days I don't start till 3PM. AND STUPID TUTOR. Every other Thursday or so we have a ridiculous tutor session which takes two thirds of my lunch break!! WTF!?!??!?!???!/1/?!??1/?!? NOT HAPPY. Also, my tutor is a patronising biatch sometimes.

Exhaustion, and good times!!

SOOO much effort is required to get up in the mornings, and I always find myself drifting off to sleep during the day! College is going well, several A's on my homework and assignments, so that's all good.
Boyfriend's alright I guess... Nah, jk, he's a right bastard ;D... Nah, jk, he's lovely :)
I have become increasingly unhealthy since the start of college, and I refuse to eat less than one packet of crisps a day. I'm an addict. Yussss.
New music keeps attacking me!! Atm I'm on Foals, but also the Costellos (Local Band) are awesomeeee! Hmmm.... Today Paolo Nutini is in my head though... D:

Best Gigaroo in the World

Last night I went to a tip-top, smashing, and splendid gig at Swindon's 12 Bar (lush venue, I want my next Birthday there :D). All the bands playing were awesome!!
Anaheim, local Swindon band were a great opening act.
i AM BODHi, a band who I'm friends with, were obviously super totally the best :D. And they gave a free demo to everyone with a cheesey grin :P
Joe Public were good too, the vocalist's hair was a giant poofy afro I just wanted to squeeze :L

One quite funny, yet incredibly annoying, thing that happened was I was wearing the exact same outfit as L from i AM BODHi... stripy top, skinny jeans, and 'new goth' boots... So I hid in my cardigan until it got too hot to bear.

One of my best friends was ill... Not too good :/

But L made sure I didn't get mugged (you know.. those Swindon streets... D:!) when I went outside to meet my motherdear in the car. i AM BODHi are seriously lovely guys. Check them out on facebook http://www.facebook.com/thebodhis?ref=search :)

My Adventures In Londonland

Yesterday was actually NOT BORING!!!1!1!!1!!!11!!!!!!!!1!!!1111!!!!!!!!

I took a trip to London with my dear friend Rachel (http://whatlovelyweather.blogspot.com/) to go to Madame Tussaud's and to visit Baker Street (home of Sherlock Holmes :D). It was soooo much fun, I can't wait to do something like that again ^.^

In MT we saw all the celebs' waxworks, and went throught the 'Scream' section where live actors basically just jump out at you and freak you out... Yes I screamed :L

Afterwards we pictured by the Sherlock statue, then ate out lunch in Regent's Park where Barry the Squirrel begged for our food ¬¬

And then visited the Sherlock Shop next to the Sherlock Holmes Museum where the Sales Assistants actually have to dress up all day as Victorian women :')

And afterwards Rachel came back to mine to meet the chicken babies and Sir Arthur, who I've decided is my favourite living creature in the whole world :D

So, there's one absolutely UNBORING day I will remember!!

Sir Arthur and My Mission of Employment

I'm still stinging about the loss of my beautiful book, but that has been lessened by the new arrival of Sir Arthur Georgeson our new baby rabbit!!1!1!!!!1!!1!1!1!!!!!
We've only had him for one night, yet we love him already. He's still very very very timid, but we hope that with daily handling he'll become a friendly family bunny.

In other news, the places to which I gave my CVs have STILL not replied to me... I'm beginning to wonder if this mission is futile...

Precious Belongings

The true value of a beloved object only comes to light once that object is lost, stolen, broken, or thrown away. Many items from my childhood have disappeared from my life, as well as items that were shiny and new. However the feeling of loss and/or separation from them has never been as great as these past few days when I discovered that my treasured book 'The Twelve Dancing Princesses' by Errol Le Cain (NOT the shitty Barbie crap.) had gone missing from the shelf in the toy-cupboard.

At first I suspected my younger sister of having read it and left it on her shelf in her room. NOOOO. It wasn't there. Then I checked my room. NO NOT THERE. And after pulling apart the toy-cupboard to search in all the nooks and crannies, it was nowhere to be found.

I'm actually devastated.

So I looked up the book on Amazon and Ebay... None on Ebay, but on Amazon I discovered the book was priced at almost £60. FUUUUUUUUUUUU. Wondering why it was SO bloody expensive for a 15 page story book, I did a google search of the author.

Turns out Errol Le Cain is dead, and on his death the price of all his works went up drastically. One of his unpublished books is worth almost £7000. While I could easily find stupid people on Ebay selling a bunch of his books together for a fiver, (made me happy) I could find some rather clever people selling them for more extortionate prices.

All-in-all, I've had a shitty day.

Now here's a BLOODY amazing film.

I literally cannot describe in words how fantastic it truly was!! The concept, the storyline, the CGI, acting, music, just everything about this film was brilliant!! PLEASE go and see it, it's SO SO SO SOOOOOOOOO good!!

So, tomorrow morning I'm going to an Anti-Smoking campaign meeting because my theatre group might be involved in an advert/video thingieee... Should be cool :)

My future as a domestic Goddess.

Catalogue magazines. Usually the bane of a credit card holder's life. So my Great Aunt Dottie had this Lakeland catalogue, right? And I started flicking through... Imagining how much better my life would be with all the cooking implements and gadgets.

Bless my mothers cottons, right, she's actually ordered me a Tala Piping Bag Icing Kit. I shall be in utter bliss when it arrives in it's neat little packaging all wrapped up waiting to be undone and used to decorate my cupcakes, or a birthday cake for my friends.

So yahh. Once I've spent around 20 years collecting invaluable, inexpendable, beautiful kitchen utensils, vessels, and other such neccessesececscecsities /??spelling??/ I shall be like the next Delia Smith. Or Jane Asher. Or some other great cook. Srsly now. I will be the great wielder of spatulas; the magnificent bakeress; the one, the only, LADY OF THE LADLE!!1!1!!!

This has never happened to me before.

Seven Deadly Sins/ Capital Vices/ Cardinal Sins

I know jealousy is like a seven sin, but would we be human if we didn't feel those seven deadly sins?

What are they again? Jealousy (envy), Anger (wrath), Lust, Gluttony, Pride, Greed, and Sloth (laziness).

Soooo....

I've watched almost every season of Project Runway at least once or twice, sometimes three times. It's one of my favourite TV shows. I love the innovative designs, the bitching, the challenges, just the drama of it all!

I can't remember which season I'm watching right this second, but this episode they're at the MET in New York (I think...) looking at the Roman/Greek statue room (my heaven), the Temple of Dendur (my other heaven), and some other room with portraits etc. It's such a beautiful place, and I seriously want to travel around America and see all the wonderful things.

And get this right- the contestants get to choose whichever piece of art they like and design an outfit from it. So I'm, like, so jealoussss...

So even I feel Jealousy, and I know it's bad. But hey, I'm only human.

Anger/ Wrath.
Ch'yeah I get angry sometimes. With motherdear, sister, dog, friends, laptop, TV...
But EVERYONE gets angry.

Lust...
Okay so I've never really experienced this one... But I've seen enough TV and films to understand that everyone must feel it at some point in their life. I mean Carrie Bradshaw and her crewage of girlies never got slain by God for being... uh... active...

Gluttony.
Right. Over-Indulgence. So, really now, who hasn't sat down and eaten, like, a TONNE of junk food with their friends at a sleepover? Or just sat at the food table at a party and ate all night? It's natural to over eat sometimes. Instinct even. SURVIVAL. Filling your boots and what not.

Pride!!!1!1!!
Yeah. I don't know a single parent who doesn't feel pride over their children. Or an artist who isn't proud of their work. Or a child who isn't proud of it's achievments.

Greed...
Pursuit of wealth, status, and power. Okay, not the nicest of things, but where would Richard Branson be if he wasn't in pursuit of wealth? Where would David Cameron be if he wasn't in pursuit of power? And where the hell would all those little celebrities be if they weren't after their much needed status?

Finally, Sloth.
Laziness. Idleness. The devil makes work for idle thumbs...? How about when you're sick and don't feel like moving? Or if you're upset and don't want to do anything? Seriously, everyone has their lazy days. Everyone. We need them, tbh. Especially after fulfilling our Gluttony moments! Teehee ;P

Just gonna say this though: I'm not saying it's okay, or even ideal, to do/be any of these things, I'm saying that they must be natural. They must be okay. We are only human. Bad things are done, bad things happen, and you know what? Bad things are FORGOTTEN. People must feel anger, or greed, or one of the others, everyday.

So all the people out there who actually worry about these things- they don't need to.
In this day and age these things don't matter. They really don't.

Feel Sick. AGAIN.

Right, so on Monday night, me and a bunch of friends went to this club thingie for some dubstep rave music or whatever. Right, then afterwards we went to a campout and had a bit to drink, yeah, and I was like EUUURRGH. I just chundered everywhaa outside the tent. EWWIE!!!1!1!1!! So yeah, when I got home I still felt sickie so I just wanted to go to bed but motherdear wouldn't let meeee. She's mean. But the next day I was fine, thank god!

Buuuuuuut today, three days later I just had some tortilla chips and hummus and some jus de pommes, and I feel sick. AGAIN. Why? Why!??//!?/ Why me? FS!

There was another book I loved where the character played a kind of card game which sent them into a kinda parararalllelelel /??spell??/ world which was epic and I loved it. I'll remember the name of it one day, I'm sure.

So anyway, people are coming round today to meet my chickens. So yahh.
